News Story

Background:
Theatr Clwyd are seeking a talented and organised Freelance Costume Supervisor to join the team for our 2025 pantomime production, Cinderella, written by Christian Patterson. The production is directed by Daniel Lloyd with set and costume design by Adrian Gee. The production will be staged in our upgraded and refreshed 550-seat Theatr Moondance at our home in North Wales, following a multi-million-pound capital redevelopment project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the costume supervision of a lively, actor-musician pantomime working with our dedicated in-house Costume and WHAM team with a strong track record of delivering award-winning Pantomimes.
While we are mindful of sustainable practice and the Theatre Green Book guidelines, this production will involve a good deal of new costume creation, and we are looking for someone confident managing a make-heavy process.
About Theatr Clwyd:
Theatr Clwyd is Wales’ largest producing theatre, and our aim is to make the world a happier place one moment at a time. We do this through transporting people with stories on our stages and by putting the community at the heart of our work.
Theatr Clwyd was built in 1976 to provide cultural opportunities for people living in North Wales. Our stages have been graced by Anthony Hopkins, Vanessa Redgrave, Timothy Dalton and Owen Teale among others and in 2018 we were proud to win an Olivier Award for Home, I’m Darling which starred Katherine Parkinson and Richard Harrington.
We are now led by Artistic Director, Kate Wasserberg and Executive Director, Liam Evans-Ford and deliver a huge amount of work in our building to support people living in our communities. We work with our local health board and health charities to use the arts to support people’s mental and physical health and develop bespoke projects which support some of the most marginalised people in our communities.
