Frequently Asked Questions: Members

Your Theatr Clwyd Membership will be extended by 6 months – we want to make sure you can take full advantage of your membership in the months to come and continue to enjoy live performance and cinema on your doorstep.

Here are some answers to the questions we've been asked recently - we hope they help.

Get in touch

If you have a different question about your Theatr Clwyd Membership, then it's easy to get in touch with us by emailing membership@theatrclwyd.com

Why will my membership be extended?

We've been working hard whilst our building has been closed, bringing a new digital programme with behind the scenes insights, music and creative tasks for everyone to enjoy at home (you can check out Theatr Clwyd Together here). However, with our doors closed and now shows in our theatre spaces, our Members aren't able to use their member benefits, such as cinema tickets, priority booking and discounts.

We are going to add on an extra 6 months to all current membership periods, giving you more time to make use of the benefits that you haven't been able to use. This is an extension of your membership to make sure that you're not missing out on those all important membership perks.

When will my membership be extended?

We will be extending all active memberships and memberships purchased while the theatre is temporarily closed by 6 months. This will be added on to the end of your current membership period, effective from your current renewal date. We'll be making these changes to your membership over the next few weeks - you don't need to do anything, we'll e-mail you when it's all sorted and you'll be notified before your new renewal date.

My membership card has my old expiry date? Will I receive a new one?

We will arrange new membership cards to be available for collection at box office once we re-open the building - that way you can straight back to saving money in our cafe, shop and bar. Unfortunately, until we open our doors, we can't get new membership cards to you (they are currently in their own version of lockdown - locked in a cupboard in the building).

The cinema is closed. What happens with my Member benefit of 2 free cinema tickets?

Those of you who haven't used your 2 free cinema tickets will be able to use them during this 6 month extension, as soon as the cinema gets rolling again. If you have already enjoyed your free cinema tickets in your current membership period, then you'll need to renew your membership before they are available again.

Will I still get priority booking for shows when you re-open?

We’re planning for the future as we speak, lining up the UK’s best shows and performers. As always, we'll email our Members when the new season is announced and you will be getting priority booking to help you get the best seats at the best prices.

What about the Member Events that I had booked to attend?

We had planned some exclusive Member Events, including Q&As with cast including Tom Chambers and Samantha Womack (Dial M For Murder), Matthew Kelly (The Habit of Art) and Gwen Taylor (The Croft). We will continue to bring you exclusive access to theatre with more events and will try to reschedule events if it's possible to do so.

In the meantime, are there any other ways that I can support Theatr Clwyd?

We want to say a massive thank you to the overwhelming number of members who are supporting us by donating or crediting their tickets when shows have been cancelled - your generosity is humbling and really appreciated. If you would like to donate and support the future of Theatr Clwyd, then you can do so online here or via the donation slider below.

We would also love it if you were able to recommend Theatr Clwyd membership to your friends and family. The more Members we have, the stronger we are.
