Join us for a special evening celebrating 50 years of Eleni and five decades of inclusive community dance across North East Wales.
Formerly known as NEW Dance , Eleni has spent 50 years bringing people together through dance, creativity and connection. Across generations, the organisation has worked with participants, practitioners, artists, community groups and partners, creating opportunities for people to experience dance in ways that are inclusive, creative and meaningful.
Eleni 50 will bring together the organisation’s past, present and future in one celebratory evening at Theatr Clwyd.
Audiences can expect a mixture of live performance, filmed dance, archive footage, interviews, stories and personal reflections , celebrating the many people and communities who have been part of Eleni’s journey.
Alongside new work, the evening will look back through Eleni’s archive, sharing memories, footage and stories from across the last five decades, while also reflecting on what the future of inclusive community dance could look like.
At the heart of Eleni 50 is a celebration of people, creativity and connection - recognising everyone who has taken part, performed, taught, supported, collaborated with or contributed to Eleni throughout its history.
Whether you have been part of Eleni or NEW Dance in the past, are involved today, or are discovering the organisation for the first time, we would love you to join us for this very special milestone.
