WHAT IS CRIW CELF AND PORTFOLIO?

Criw Celf and Portffolio is an exciting and ambitious programme of creative masterclasses for young people with a special interest in the visual arts.

Through a series of interactive workshops with professional artists from a range of backgrounds, our young artists learn skills beyond what they know from the classroom, develop a greater understanding of the arts world, and build friendships and confidence through working with other enthusiastic young people. Participants will receive a tailored materials pack to ensure they have all they need to learn new skills and take their artwork to the next level.

This year, most of the workshops are taking place online and will consist of live, interactive sessions with the artists which will be an opportunity to ask questions and collaborate with incredible, talented creative professionals. The work created in this year's masterclasses will form part of a celebration exhibition at Theatr Clwyd during the Family Arts Weekend in July.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

Criw Celf and Portffolio is open to all young people with a special interest and enthusiasm for the visual arts, who are in school years 5-11 in Flintshire.

Criw Celf Group 1 is made up of young people in years 5-6 and Criw Celf Group 2 is made up of young people in years 7, 8 and 9.

Portffolio is an even more in depth series of creative masterclasses and collaborations with professional artists and is available to young people in years 10 and 11 who have chosen a creative subject at GCSE level.
