Fundraise for Theatr Clwyd

There are many ways that you can get involved and help the redevelopment of Theatr Clwyd. One way is to hold your own fundraising event.

This could be hosting an afternoon tea or opening your garden to friends and family or for the adrenaline junkies jumping off a platform. Whatever way you want to raise money for Theatr Clwyd, we are here to help you.

Ideas and Inspiration
Scared of Heights?

Face the fear with a sponsored tandem drop at ZipWorld on Plummet 2 with an incredible 100m platform drop.

Happy to roll up your sleeves?

Wash cars, clean windows, mow the lawn. Put a price on all the chores and raise money for the redevelopment.

Need a sort out?

A modern jumble sale, sort out your unwanted clothes and sell them on Ebay or Vinted.

Time to dress up?

Challenge yourself to dress up as iconic theatre characters for one week. Shakespeare on Monday to Elsa on Sunday there is lots of fun to be had.

What is your challenge?

From marathons in Snowdonia to cycle races in Cheshire there are plenty of challenge events to choose from.

Tea and cake anyone?

Getting baking (or buying) and host your very own afternoon tea. Got a lovely garden, show off the flowers too.

Need to release your creativity?

A poetry slam or a jam night, whatever your talent, let it shine and raise vital funds for the redevelopment.

Who did it?

Host a murder mystery night and play detective as you work out who of your friends you can trust or not.

Tips to help your event run smoothly and raise as much as possible:
  • Set up a JustGiving page (justgiving.com), it is easy to share with friends and family and collects all the donations for you.
  • Make your fundraising target achievable. It can always be increased at a later date.
  • Ask your biggest donor to donate first- it helps to inspire other donors!
  • Collect gift aid on sponsorship forms which you can download here. This can add up to 25% more to the amount raised.
  • Share your story. What does Theatr Clwyd mean to you?
  • Use your skills. If you like to be in front of a camera then maybe the 7 days dress up challenge is for you but if your passion is plants, then choose to host a garden party.
  • Keep it legal, download this sheet with information about how to keep your event safe and legal.
  • Use social media to promote what you are doing. #PlayYourPart
