Booking Fees

When do they start
Booking fees will be introduced from 1 June 2026.

Why do we now have booking fees
Like many theatres, we're facing rising costs across energy, staffing and materials. Booking fees help us bridge the gap without cutting back on the shows you love or the work we do in our communities. Every fee goes straight back into our community work, keeping our stages active and our doors open.

Can you avoid paying booking fees?
We're afraid not — booking fees apply to all ticket purchases, however you choose to book.

The good news? Theatr Clwyd members don't pay them for events purchased from us at Theatr Clwyd and William Aston Hall. For just £3 a month, membership pays for itself quickly, plus you'll enjoy priority booking and savings at our bar too. Click here to find out more.

Why are booking fees being introduced after shows have gone on sale?
We have a constant, rolling programme of shows across Theatr Clwyd and William Aston Hall, with tickets often on sale many months ahead. There's never really a clean "start date" where nothing is already selling. Rather than delay further, we've chosen a clear introduction date and applied it consistently from there.
