To begin at the beginning…
The villagers of Llareggub dream of lost love, drowned shipmates and failed marriages.
Time passes.
Enter an eccentric world filled with romance, fantasy, scandal, and song. A funny, moving and accessible production of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas’ iconic drama.
“This show has everything - it’s deeply funny but emotionally deep, quirky and eccentric but resonant and relevant.
You’ll love it.”
Kate Wasserberg
Dreamer. Drifter. Poet. Rogue.
Dylan Thomas made words dance, sing, and occasionally stumble with a mischievous grin. Born in Wales in 1914, his writing is rich, sticky, and impossible to resist.
Under Milk Wood, is a hilarious, occasionally naughty and slightly spooky peek into the lives of the small Welsh seaside town of Llareggub (say it backwards...).
Each character, from the town gossips to the lovesick dreamers, feel like they’ve escaped his vivid daydream.
The play is rhythmic and lyrical, exposing the dreams, the lies and the secret wishes of a town where everyone is as colorful, strange, and delightful as Thomas was himself.
