Level 2 Filmmaking: Take the Reins
Thurs 17 Sept - Thurs 29 Oct 26
Level 2 Filmmaking is for young filmmakers (ages 13–17) who have already got the basics — framing, editing, story structure — and are ready to push further. This is where students start making real creative decisions: building their own concepts, running a set, and shaping a film that's genuinely theirs from first shot to final cut.
What's new this level
- Advanced camera work — framing, movement, lighting and sound skills
- Directing & crew roles — students rotate through director, DP, sound, learning to lead a set and collaborate under real production pressure
- Story & script development — moving beyond templates to develop original scripts with structure, tension, and voice
- A finished short film — every student leaves with a completed piece for their reel
Who it's for
- Students who have completed our Level 1 / Introduction to Filmmaking course (or have equivalent experience) and are ready to move from following instructions to making their own calls.
- By the end, they're not just comfortable behind a camera — they're thinking like filmmakers.
