Casglu is a monthly space for dancers, movers and makers to get together to move, share and connect across North Wales. Casglu is a partnership between North Wales Dance Collective, and Theatr Clwyd.

These sessions are aimed at anyone with a professional dance or movement practice as well as students in full-time training.

Workshop with Uma O'Neill

Creative exploration of Motif development for Choreography.

Understanding motifs and their creative development as part of the choreographer’s craft.

Uma O’Neill has a rich and varied background in dance, including completing Dance Leaders’ courses with the Laban Guild, an MA in European Dance Theatre Practice at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, and the Laban Guild’s international postgraduate programme, The Phoenix Project. Along the way, she has studied with inspirational and provocative figures in dance such as Wayne McGregor, Warren Lamb, Anna Carlisle MBE, and Cai Thomos.

Uma was fortunate to enter the Welsh dance sector early, co-teaching GCSE Dance at the age of 19. Throughout her career, she has performed internationally, choreographed in both professional and community settings, and directed dance films that have received international recognition.
