Frequently Asked Questions

Where will the show be performed? The show with be performed in our brand new, refurbished and redeveloped main house auditorium - with brand new seats, new carpets, improved technical facilities and a slightly tweaked layout (to make it better than before!).

Does that mean the full theatre building will be open for Christmas? No. We've always planned to have a gradual reopening of the full building in 2025 . We'll share panto in the main house this Christmas and then the building will be reopened in full by mid-2025. That means that (similar to Robin Hood), you'll watch the show in our main house but the foyer, bar and toilets will be (for the final time) in our temporary facilities next to the theatre.

Do schools have to pay the full amount up front? No. We’ll take a deposit for your booking with the balance due in autumn. Although the schools shows notoriously sell out quickly.

Are there discounts for groups? Yes. We offer a small discount for groups of 20+ for this show for performances from 23 Nov to 15 Dec, and 2 to 19 Jan.

Who is the show suitable for? Generally we’d say ages 5+.

Does the show contain strobe effects? The show will contain strobe effect and flickering lighting.

Will there be a signed, audio described, captioned and relaxed performances of the show? Yes, the dates for these will be announced when the show is on sale.
