COVID-19 Update

We’re continuing to follow official guidance from Public Health Wales, Flintshire County Council, Welsh Government, UK Government and UK Theatre. Below we have all our latest updates on programme changes as well as what we are doing to ensure that any and all procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of our audiences, actors and staff members.

  • 17 March (13:30) - All Theatr Clwyd community companies and weekly activities are on hiatus until further notice.
  • 17 March (13:30) – Following the Prime Minister’s statement yesterday we are temporarily closing to the public and all events, performances and screenings – both inside and outside the building have been canceled or postponed. We do not yet know how long we will remain closed to the public and so we will take it two weeks at a time to allow us to re-open when the landscape shifts and Government advice enables us to do so. At this moment, we will be closed up to and including Sunday 5 April and we will review this weekly. All ticket holders for affected events will be contacted by our team – these are unprecedented circumstances so please bear with us as we deal with this - please do not ring us, we’ll contact you.   • 16 March (17:45) - Following the announcement by the Prime Minister we are reviewing all available information and seeking advice from Public Health Wales as we make further decisions on our future programme. We will be in touch with all our customers who have tickets booked for a future performance as soon as we know more, please bear with us.

What Have We Done
  • Educating our team on identifying symptoms, self-isolation process, hygiene and hand washing methods.
  • Increased availability of hand sanitiser in places without hot water sources
  • Cleaning high contact points more frequently
  • Provided all our team with the latest guidance from Public Health Wales
  • Modelled scenarios both towards our responsibility for public health, and on financial impact
  • Daily strategy meetings to update scenarios and agree new actions
  • Implementing team social distancing through planned remote working where possible (in progress)
  • Implementing team social distancing with at risk volunteers and staff (in progress)
