Open Call

We’re inviting all artists to submit works for the 2021 North Wales Art Open exhibition which will take place from Fri 29 Oct to Fri 7 Jan in Theatr Clwyd’s gallery. The competition has a top prize of £500.

Who can apply?

Any artists from or living in North Wales can apply – we can accept works of any medium including; printmaking, painting, photography, sculpture, video and sound, textiles and crafts. The North Wales Art Open 2021 is open to artists of all ages.

How much does it cost to enter?

Only artists selected to exhibit are required to pay an entry fee. It costs £10 per selected artist. Artists may submit up to 4 works.

How are we accepting works?

To enter you’ll need to e-mail a picture of your entry to northwalesopen@theatrclwyd.com

We’re accepting applications until Monday 11 October at 5pm.

We’ll make a decision about who has been successful by Fri 15 Oct.

Work that is selected for exhibition will need to be delivered to Theatr Clwyd on Sat 23 Oct.

Who is judging?

The exhibited display will be selected by award-winning Wrexham-based artist Rhi Moxon. The prize-winning entries will be selected by a guest panel of acclaimed artists.

If selected, can my art be bought by members of the public?

Yes. If you wish your art to be available for public sale while exhibited at Theatr Clwyd then we can facilitate this.
