Lisa Jên Brown
Lisa is the lead singer and songwriter with award winning genre-defying band 9Bach signed to Peter Gabriel's RealWorld records. She has collaborated vocally with Gruff Rhys (from the Super Furry Animals) on solo albums since Candylion in 2007. She also features on Public Service Broadcasting's Every Valley. Lisa's theatre credits include Milky Peaks (Theatr Clwyd) Pijin/Pigeon (Theatr Genedlaethol/ Theatr Iolo) Praxis Makes Perfect and Candylion (National Theatre Wales), Sleeping Beauties (Sherman Theatre), Double Vision (Wales Millennium Centre/Gagglebabble) and Chwalfa, Siwan and Cysgod y Cryman (Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru). Amongst her many screen roles Lisa currently features in the recently cinema released film Y Sŵn (Lee Haven Jones/ Roger Williams) and the award winning short film Staying (Aros mae) (Sixteen films).
Lisa is one of four presenters of Stori'r Iaith for S4C.
Lisa played regular character Ceri Gravelle in four series of Gwaith/Cartref and Emma in soap Rownd a Rownd for five series. She is one of the best-known voices in Wales, having narrated Welsh-language animations Y Dyfnfor, Lili’s Driftwood Bay, Dragons – Defenders of Berk, Dennis a Dannedd, Henri Helynt, Pengwiniaid and Spiderman amongst many others.
