Pavilion Community Cast

We are looking for 18-25 year olds to join our Community Cast for our upcoming Theatr Clwyd Production…

Pavilion

The world première of a dark comedy by Wales’ Emily White, directed by Tamara Harvey (Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd and Olivier Award winner of Best Comedy for Home, I’m Darling).

Friday night. Music pounds, lager flows, lust grinds and fists fly. This run-down spa town in a forgotten corner of Wales is filled with big personalities and even bigger egos.

Can you bring the rave to our stage?

If you’re 18-25 years old, love acting and want an insight into performing at a world-class theatre on your doorstep, then this is for you.
Theatr Clwyd is the biggest producing house in Wales and we’re passionate about nurturing emerging talent.

Rehearsals are from Tuesday 27th August – Saturday 21st September 2019 (two evenings a week and Saturdays).

Technical and dress rehearsals are from Saturday Monday 23rd – Thursday 26th September and will be more intensive.

All Community Cast members will need to be available for all rehearsals.

Performances at Theatr Clwyd are from 26th September – 12th October 2019.

Community Cast members do not need to be available for all performances. There will be an opportunity to go on tour as the show is touring to The Riverfront Newport from Tuesday 22nd – Friday 25th October 2019

As this is a voluntary position, we will discuss how many performances you could do, however we would expect you to be available for all rehearsals and the majority of the show dates above. The week in Newport is optional.

We warmly welcome applications from Welsh speakers. We are also keen to hear from disabled applicants, those who identify as BAME and other under-represented groups.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18+
  • Live locally to Theatr Clwyd
  • Be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in working in professional theatre.

How to apply:

If you are interested, please email Alice Evans, Community Producer alice.evans@theatrclwyd.com with the following:

  • Up to 100 words on why you want to be involved.
  • Up to 100 words on any previous relevant experience.
  • Your availability over the dates specified.

Applications can be made in English or in Welsh and formatted by written word, video or audio file.

Audition at Theatr Clwyd on Wednesday 24th July.
