Simon was raised in Mochdre, Conwy and spent three years at Clwyd Youth Theatre where he played in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (New York); The Threepenny Opera and Road (UK Tour) and Living Dangerously (Poland Tour).
Since training at Rose Bruford College Simon has played from Glasgow to Portsmouth, from Scarborough to Shanghai and has become a ‘stalwart’ for Northern Broadsides Theatre Co.
Theatre credits include: Of Mice and Men (West Yorkshire Playhouse); Sheepish (Manchester 24:7), Sea of Silence (Quicksilver Theatre Co.); Man is Man (The Steam Industry); Puss in Boots (Middle-East Tour).
For Northern Broadsides: The Comedy of Errors, Sweet William, The School for Scandal, The Wars of the Roses, The Man with two Gaffers, The Tempest (UK, China Tour), Lisa’s Sex Strike, Love’s Labour’s Lost and Othello (tour and West End transfer).

Simon’s TV credits include: Da Vinci’s Demons (Sky/Fox), Accused (BBC), Huw in Shameless (Channel 4), Frank in Coronation Street (ITV), Hollyoaks (Channel 4), The Street (BBC – BAFTA Award Series 2), Stepping Up and All At Sea for CBBC.
Film credits include: The Borrowers (Working Title) and Strictly Ghetto (Short).
Simon has worked as a director for South Camden Youth Theatre, Bigfoot Theatre Co. and as a dramaturge for Youth Culture TV.
In 2009 Simon founded Pigtown Theatre Company based in Mochdre.
