Phylip Harries

Phylip is an Associate of Theatr Clwyd. Born and bred in Ystalyfera, Swansea Valley he trained at Trinity College Carmarthen, and the Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff.

Theatre work includes: Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, Dame Dolly Dumplings in Jack & The Beanstalk, Mostyn in Somewhere in England, Dai Probert in Rape of the Fair Country, Bottom in A Midsummers Night’s Dream (Theatr Clwyd); Jack Lister Tom – A Story of Tom Jones, Wayne Needy in Salsa, Raguneau in Cyrano (Theatr na n’Óg); Dafydd in Midsummer Songs, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich); Francois Pujol The Famous Farter (Wales Millennium Centre); Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing (Stafford Shakespeare Festival); Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dromio of Ephesus in A Comedy of Errors and Sir Hugh Evans in The Merry Wives of Windsor (Stafford Shakespeare Festival); Harry Gough in The Thorn Birds (Wales Theatre Co); Lancelot Gobbo in The Merchant of Venice, Shepherd in The Winter’s Tale (Ludlow Shakespeare Festival); Mr Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol (Birmingham Rep).

He is the voice of Grandpa Max in the welsh version of Ben 10, and Louie Knight, Aberystwyth’s only private detective for Radio 4.
